Eerie Weather evokes nostalgic emo-rock with new track “Loner”
Do you remember the days when things were simple? You woke up anytime, threw on your iPod, and went to hang with friends. Summers seemed to last forever and nothing seemed to really matter. Going to Warped Tour and seeing all of your favorite bands as well discovering tons of new acts.
That’s the instant feeling I got upon listening to the new track “Loner” from Arizona’s Eerie Weather. Instantly- the melody and also lyrics stood out as relatable and nostalgic in a real way. Not contrived to feel fake or forced.
When I spoke to Daimen (Eerie Weather) about the song, this is what he had to say
“Loner is actually the 2nd solo song I ever wrote, it’s funny cause I recorded half of it in 2020 then recorded the other half exactly a year later. The song is about how I felt after leaving my last band. It’s not a diss track just a silly self-reflection. Honestly, it’s one of my favorite things I’ve ever written.”
