When did this project first come together?
2018 is when I had the opportunity to start a solo career. I put the band together after I finished the record.
How did you end up becoming a signed band?
I was turned down by dozens of labels because I don’t play music that Is trendy at the moment, so it made it very hard to find someone to take a chance on it…I’ve been in bands my whole life so I’m used to doing things on my own but the owner of better noise really liked my demos and the rest is history.
What’s one personal highlight with this project that stands out to you?
I’ve always wanted to work with Rob Cavallo and to have the opportunity for him to produce my record was amazing.
What do you hope to ultimately achieve with this music?
I just hope the songs make a real connection with people. I hope they resonate on a deeper level with a bigger audience.
How do you go about the writing process?
I usually sit at my piano when I wake up And see if I can hold down an idea from the ether. I usually collect lots of phrases and song titles as much as possible. I write everything on acoustic guitar or piano and then I demo them at my home studio. There is no typical process sometimes I get ideas when I am in a lucid dream state as well.
What is your favorite part about being in a band?
Playing live
Tell me about your latest release and upcoming plans?
I’ve just released a few singles and videos from debut solo record “Lookin for love, ready for war” and have an opening slot on the Motley Crue stadium tour. The album will be out during this summer sometime.
